Eligibility Criteria for Admission

4. DAE in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Process Control, Mechanical with any specialization, Mechatronics, Radar, and Radio Technology.
At least 50% marks are required in Intermediate Part-I (Pre-Engineering or equivalent or and relevant DAE (Second Year) marks Diploma duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to stand eligible for admission. The overall marks in F.Sc. / D.A.E. after declaration of results should be at least 60%.

MERIT CALCULATION CRITERIA:
1. 50% weightage to the Intermediate or relevant DAE marks obtained.
2. 33% weightage to the Entry Test Score.
3. 17% weightage to interview and marks obtained in matric.

Note: Students appeared in any Entry Test conducted by UET Lahore, NED Karachi, MUET Jamshoro, NUST Islamabad, NTS, ETEA and any other existing recognized entity conducting entry test are eligible to apply.

4. Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics 1. Candidates having minimum 50% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical).
2. Provisional Admission may be granted on the basis of Intermediate Part-I with a minimum of 50% marks.
3. A-level (Biology mandatory) or equivalent approved by IBCC having minimum 50% marks.

5. Department of Business Administration Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. Morning / Evening 50+50
6. Department of Computer Science & Information Technology 1. At least 50% marks in Intermediate (F.Sc. Pre-Engg, ICS) with Mathematics as a subject or equivalent 12 years education with Mathematics as a subject are required for admission in BSCS/ BSIT.
2. At least 50% marks in Intermediate Pre-medical (subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if admitted, are required to study two additional Mathematics courses, worth 6 credit hours, during the first year of studies at the institution. (If the student could not pass these 06 credit hours during the first year of study, he/she will be dropped.)

7. Department of Economics The minimum criteria for admission in BS program as per HEC is F.A./F.Sc./A Level or any other with 12 years of schooling with at least 50% marks. Morning / Evening 50+50
8. Department of English 50% marks in Intermediate or Equivalent. Provisional Admission may be granted on the basis of Intermediate Part-I result with a minimum of 50% marks. Morning / Evening 50+50
9. Department of International Relations Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. Morning 50
10. Department of Islamic Studies 50% in intermediate/Shahadat al Khasa (Equivalence certificate by IBCC). Morning 50
11. Department of Sociology Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. Morning 50
12. Department of Urdu Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. Morning 50
13. Department of Law 1. Who have secured at least 50% marks in the last annual exam of HSSC/ equivalent.
2. Who must have passed Law Admission Test (Conducted by HEC) in last two years.
3. The provisional admission of the candidates who fail to secure at least 50% in HSSC/ equivalent shall be cancelled.
Calculation of Merit:
1. (30% Weightage of SSC /equivalent and 70% Weightage of HSSC.
2. Candidate securing admission shall be required to pay additional registration fee payable to Pakistan Bar Council as per Pakistan Bar Council Legal Education Rules (PBCLER) 2015.
Morning 50
14. Department of Pharmacy Candidates having minimum 60% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) / A level (with Biology and Chemistry) are eligible to apply for admission in Pharm-D program.
Merit calculation:
F.Sc. Pre-Medical (Part-I) = 70%
Matric (Science) = 30%
An entry test may be conducted by the university.

15. Department of Botany At least 50% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-medical) or equivalent with Biology as major subject. Morning / Evening 50+50
16. Department of Chemistry 50% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering) / A-Level with Chemistry. Morning / Evening 50+50
17. Department of Mathematics 50% marks in Intermediate or Equivalent with F.Sc. (Pre Engineering)/ICS/ F.Sc. (Pre-Medical with Additional Mathematics). Provisional Admission may be granted on the basis of Intermediate Part-I result with a minimum of 50% marks. Morning / Evening 50+50
18. Department of Physics 50% marks in Intermediate who studied physics as major subject (including Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering and ICS) or Equivalent. Provisional Admission may be granted on the basis of Intermediate Part-I result with a minimum of 50% marks. Morning / Evening 50+50
