University of Chakwal successfully organised its maiden International Conference on bridging the gaps between industry and academia. The national and international speakers discussed the modalities and way forward for increased employability of the university graduates.
Speaking on the occasion ,Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairman, Dr Shahid Muneer ,presented some excellent strategies to absorb our graduates in industry .He urged on the participants to think out of the box solutions and techniques so that the university graduates do not turn a liability, rather they should vehemently contribute to national development.
The minister for Higher Education showed his resolve to equip the university students with technical skills so that they can compete internationally. The scientists and professors from University of Warwick shared the details regarding Apprenticeship Degree ,being successfully implemented there.
The worthy Vice Chancellor of University of Chakwal warmly welcomed the participants and briefed them about the progress made by the university in different fields. He claimed that the UOC was the fastest growing university among all the nascent varsities in Punjab.
Personally, for me ,it was a huge learning enterprise. It was really a great relish to listen to some sane ideas and advice by different Vice Chancellors who had quite miraculously congregated under one roof on the call of highly visionary Vice Chancellor, Dr Bilal Ahmed Khan.
