About ORIC

The University of Chakwal (UOC) has established the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) following the directives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). ORIC's role is to enhance the quality of research within the university and facilitate its commercialization. It is actively engaged in boosting research, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and promoting commercialization initiatives at UOC. ORIC offers a range of services including research and development support, innovation, industrialization, commercialization, partnership building, as well as organizing seminars, workshops, and managing the submission and approval processes for research projects, proposals, grants, funding, and awards.

ORIC oversees the research training for both students and faculty at UOC, covering planning, execution, support, intellectual property rights, and technology transfer. This aims to foster industry-academia connections and establish effective mechanisms for commercialization. ORIC is tasked with cultivating a conducive environment within the university for scientists, researchers, and research users to collaborate and innovate in cutting-edge technology. Serving as a pivotal link between university research and industry and societal needs, ORIC plays a crucial role in aligning its activities with HEC guidelines.
